北海道は旭川市。雪を使ったランドアートイベントにて作家として選ばれ「直径≒20ｍ、高さ≒2.5～3.5ｍ」のすり鉢状の巨大な皿を製作展示した。

皿の中央に立つと形状の性格上、周囲の音が一定量遮断され真空状態に居るような錯覚に陥る。空を見上げると広大な北海道の冬空が丸く切り取られ、自分の為に盛り付けられたようである。

冬の間、本業を休業している地元工務店や地域の多くのボランティアの皆さんによって雪のみを使って製作された。人の手によって作られた温かみの感じられる作品となった。

Selected as an artist for a land art event using snow in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, during the winter, and produced and exhibited a huge mortar-shaped dish with a diameter of ≈20 m and a height of ≈2.5-3.5 m.When you stand in the centre of the dish, a certain amount of the surrounding sound is blocked out due to the nature of its shape. Looking up at the sky, the vast winter sky of Hokkaido is cut out in a round shape and seems to have been served up just for you.

It was made using only snow by local construction companies and many volunteers from the community who are closed from their main jobs during the winter months. The work was made by human hands and gave a feeling of warmth.
